nature is a mother...

Pollen.

It may look like a 6 letter word, but it acts more like a 4 letter word. It's bad bad bad. Naughty. The pollen count here in Atlanta is at obscene levels right now; somewhere in the thousands! (Anything over 120 is considered "extremely high".) And we're in the thousands?! What the foot.
I've been hacking and snotting and just having a pretty gross week, I must say.

But there has been light at the end of the tunnel, my friends.

I've seen it growing ever closer all week...

My fab friend's Dirty Thirty 80's Night Extravaganza of a birthday party is this weekend, and I just can't wait to rock some awesome 80's threads! (Word on the street is that we will be seeing the likes of Boy George, Prince, Doogie Howser and Punky Brewster just to name a few...) Fear not! There will be many pictures and much embarrassment in the blog to come.
:)

As for this evening, well, I'm thinking the extent of it will be settling in with a little Office and 30 Rock... and a big fat loving friendly chunk of partially hydrogenated goodness (or a Kroger deli cupcake, as it is sometimes referred.) Hey, no judging. We're all supportive friends here. This is my safe place. Happy place. (That's the allergy meds talking, pay no attention...)

I've been dreaming of this ever since I saw it posted all those weeks past...

And I just too sick to bake.

*cough*sneeze*cough*

So, Kroger it is!

Yum, I'm going to have to try that frosting recipe! Have you had Publix buttercream frosting? They made my wedding cake, and I swear it was the best white cake & frosting I've ever had. They sell their buttercream frosting by the pound now. Troublesome for my waistline...

Do we get to see pics of your rad party?
