The most recent album from The Decemberists. It's epic, theatrical, beautiful, haunting, and full of beautiful voices. I wasn't quite sure of it on first listen, but there are definitely several songs on there that I want to listen to over and over again. (and a few I could do without...) Try:

Man, it's a shame we live so far apart. Apparently we have grown into VERY similar people where musical taste is concerned. Too bad we can't go to all these cool shows together! I really like reading your blog; there's always something that makes me smile :)
