a crafty evening

RING-RING...

Me: Hello?

Katie: Hey girl, I'm at Hobby Lobby. What do you want to craft tonight?

Me: Um... well, I don't care. Whatever you want to do. But you better not spend any money for me!

Katie: Ohmygosh!... I'm pregnant, moody, and overly-sensitive... If I want to buy crafts, I will! ...Look, the economy is failing.
WE CAN MAKE A CRAFT!

Me: {uncontrollable laughter} OK!...OK! We'll do it!

And so it was that the Crafter's Guild of Austell was once again reunited!
The ladies showed up with a mish-mash of crafting goodies, Reese's peanut butter cups, a certain puffed cheese snack item {which will remain nameless}, spiced cider, a six pack of Harvest Moon{yum}, and a mission.
A craft mission.

The supplies: assorted sticks, Spanish moss, terracotta vases, flower-arranging foam, little birdies, spiders, rats, some berries of a bush in my yard and a couple cans of black spray paint and a trusty glue gun.

We decided to make a spooky Halloween tree thing. So after spray painting everything, we assembled and glued and arranged...
We ended up with some pretty cool stuff.

...Some creepy crawlies marching up the side.

I love the white doves-turned-black ravens.

...and of course, Katie needed to one-up me and Jennifer and demanded a ghost for her tree. I cut up an old cotton nightgown, tattered the edges, painted on a face and gave it a little spritz of paint to rough him up a little bit.

And here are our final products....
Thanks for a fun night ladies!
